Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Fuel gauge has stopped working and washer bottle light is on. Probably an electrical issue just wondering where to start. Have checked fuses Any advice would be appreciated

POST 2Original post

Need to check your wiring for the fuel sender and washer bottle. They are on the same side of the car. Your wiring could have degraded or a rodent.

Yep exactly right. Had a rat in by the looks of it. Managed to get a wiring diagram & the 2 wires have been eaten through but can’t see where the other end of the wires are. They are yellow/violet & Violet. The fuel sender & washer bottle wires as per wiring diagram Also have a Brown & yellow/ brown wires coming from right side under bonnet which have been eaten & can’t see the other end. Unfortunately unable to load pics.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, Have it sorted now. Found the missing wires, they were eaten down to a grommet
