Hi. I'm currently trying to change the struts in my 2007 Boxster since they're starting to fail. I'm interested in buying a set of slightly used struts from a 2011 Cayman , but I'm not sure if they'll fit. So the real question is, is there any difference in the strut assembly for a 987.1 compared to a 987.2 ? Thanks for any info you can provide. Alex

Hi Alex, I have almost new suspension from a 2010 Cayman S (taken off almost immediately when car was new) I will sell cheap. PM me if you confirm they will fit and you are interested Chris

Yes, they'll fit. Many folks have retrofitted their 987.1s with Cayman R ( 987.2 ) suspension kits.

Are the struts from the later cars different in any way from the 987.1 's? I have a 2006, and would consider buying a set of newer takeoffs if they were. THX!!

Croc Ed. Yes, they'll fit. Many folks have retrofitted their 987.1s with Cayman R ( 987.2 ) suspension kits. Can you point us in the direction of someone who has done this? Thx

Should fit no problem.. also cayman R and Boxster Spyder suspension retrofit are being sold by Suncoast .. i believe they did some test mules..
