Our car is PASM so the first set would be for those cars and the next available would be non-PASM.

In other words is Porsche using 2 different types of springs as I assume that they are?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

IMO,I like the look of the car when it is on SPORT mode but the ride quality is too harsh.
i'm really hoping the set for PASM will be available shortly.
tokz,
PASM is a permanent 10mm lower ride height, the ride height does NOT change with the press of a button. Granted lowering springs will take you down even lower, but as of yet I don't know any that are designed to work correctly with PASM.
i am so glad that someone asked this as i was just about to ask it. i was thinking of lowering the cayman but the pasm was making me nervous. now that i know not to i wont. on another note does anyone have an expected date on when the kit compatible with the pasm will be available?

A friend of mine who works for the largest BMW and Porsche parts distributor (SSF) in the Bay Area told me this in an e-mail last week:
'My boss was saying today that he set up a new PSS9 coil-over kit from Bilstein for the 997 that integrates with PASM. Evidently, it's the only performance suspension system that can be retrofitted without disabling PASM and Bilstein says a Cayman system is in the works.'
So, it shouldn't be long now...

Pete,
That begs a good question, are the part #'s different on the springs for PASM and non-PASM cars? In other words is Porsche using 2 different types of springs as I assume that they are?
Techart also is working on a PASM compatible coil-over system. They have lowering springs to drop 25 mm. Not sure if PASM compatible. They are distributed by Claus Ettensberger Corporation in the US. See

.
This is the price list:

. The springs go for $529.
KMAN, it's a good question. We are working with some European contacts on this. I still need more information on the subject. One thing is for sure, we won't be selling anything that doesn't meet my ridiculous expectations./fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/wink_smile.gifThe car rake must be retained as stock and the ride quality must be as close to stock as can be. Especially for PASM since the car is able to firm up quite well electronically. -Pete
I got a reply from Mark Carrillo of CEC, the US Techart representative. The springs are PASM compatible. He points out that the 25 mm lowering is as compared to base suspension. 15 mm as compared to PASM.
Please make sure to take some pictures when you get them in and give us a review. I'm curious how tough it will be getting into and out of parking lots and driveways.
I guess it does not make a lot of difference coz 15mm is only like 1.5cm and unless you change to bigger whells, i dont see nay problem going up parking lot and driveways.
still waiting on my croc though. ship arrived on Monday but no news until now.
i keep you guys inform once i have everything ready.
with PASM the car is always 9mm lower than a standard car and the ride with PASM off is better slighlly than a car without PASM. I have driven both and my car hasPASM which is only really worth using if the road is smooth but on a track the PASM will no doubt be an advantage.
Update: I was quoted $600 for the springs (with installation)
It is H&R instead of the Techart that is shown in this thread.
I've never heard that H&R already have a spring that PASM compatible and is this a very high price?
oops, that shop almost got me!
thanks LK.
May be i'll just wait for a few more months until there are more information regarding springs that is compatible with PASM.
