Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I had the both rear control arms replaced due to bad bushings.

The car drives straight as an arrow, accelerates without issue, no clunking in decel or accel (mounts replaced when I did the clutch/IMS/flywheel).
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 2001 C2 Cab.
After a car wash (in a hurry and went through a car wash instead of home) I got a rather nasty clicking/binding noise from the right rear. It only happens when I am coasting or not under throttle. When under throttle it disappears. It got louder as I drove it. It is parked for now. It is not louder when going faster. Same level whether creeping through a parking lot or going down the road. It really sounds like something is binding and when I push the throttle is subsides…like the “pressure” is calming it down.
Now for history: 98k on the odo, gt2 clutch, lightweight flywheel, and IMS done two years ago at 60k on odo. I had the car recently aligned to take out the extreme camber. She is a DD for me. The toe in the right rear couldn’t get to where the left was. Not huge but difference. I had the both rear control arms replaced due to bad bushings. New rear tires 700 miles ago. The car drives straight as an arrow, accelerates without issue, no clunking in decel or accel (mounts replaced when I did the clutch/IMS/flywheel).
Thoughts? CV boot, wheel bearing…anything? I’m wondering if the carwash was the culprit. When entering, it had an undercarriage spray that I tried to get through quickly but I fear not quickly enough.
I'm stumped. To better locate the problem area find a solid wall you can drive close to at night when it is quiet. You will be amazed at how much better you can hear.
Thanks. I’ve gotten a couple videos that capture the sound. It is only right side rear and it is a combination of clicking and binding. My guess is a cv joint or wheel bearing.
