So I put my car in a the 12th Annual Scarecrow Car Show this weekend. It's probably the biggest show here in Central Mississippi. There were 540 cars in total from many different states. It's primarily an American classic car show. I'm not sure how many imports were registered I would guess around 100. Japan, Korea, and Great Britain were very well represented, Germany and Italy, not so much.
Aside from Best of Show in each class, the next award was Top 20. There are so many British cars they've added a British Best of Show award, so I had quite a bit of British competition in the import class. If I recall correctly a mid-60's Austin Healey took the British Best of Show.
Here's how it ended up for me!
Thanks everybody. I had a great time. Car guys are car guys, and the guys with classic American hot rods were great. I received many compliments from them.
Our annual
Eurofest
car show is more to my taste, but cars have to be 25 years old or older. The local PCA sets up a Car Corral where we park and it gets just as many spectators as the show!
Congrats! I wanted to make the Scarecrow show but had to work. Would have been nice to meet some local Porsche guys. I just bought mine so I still have a lot to learn about this chassis.
Thanks! You should come out to the PCA Magnolia Region Cars and Coffee at the Dealership. It is typically the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9-11am. On a very rare occasion when a special event has been planned the Cars and Coffee doesn't happen.
