Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I wanted to express my gratitude to Pelican Techweenie (Bill K) for helping me out today with a PPI on a 2000 Cobalt Blue Metallic 911 Carrera Cabriolet (with hard top.) It was very reassuring to have an expert evaluate a 21 year old car prior to purchase. He pointed out a few areas of “notice” that helped me get the seller to lower the price an additional $1,000. Not only that, once the deal was done he emailed me additional resources for my new car. If you are in the LA area and need a PPI give Techweenie a call, you’ll be glad you did. Actually the seller got his contact information for a future PPI for him. Thanks Bill, you’re a Porsche Jedi Master!

POST 2Original post

Thanks for posting this information. Also, nice color.

POST 3Original post

Good on Bill, and great looking car!! Although it doesn't appear to be Cobalt Blue to me.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It’s probably not Cobalt Blue, Bill explained to me what most likely happened. . . “Porsche has always offered some thing called Paint to Sample so Porsches with varying colors are pretty accepted” Just another example of his vast knowledge. He’s like Pelican Parts without PARF

POST 5Original post

Cool. Looks like a new car!! I believe the option code for paint to sample is L999 on the option sticker under the hood.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for that information. The option sticker is there. Like a dummy I forgot to take a photo of it, I didn’t want to get in Bill’s way as he was checking out the car. God willing we seal the deal tonight and I’ll have more photos later.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just checked the Option Sticker. L999 is there! Paint to Sample

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, there are a few small items that need to be squared away but it’s pretty well sorted out. The seller included an OEM Porsche car cover which was nice.
