Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Recently filled hydraulic unit and operated clamshell cover a few times and it worked normally. Now the clamshell is in the open position and will not retract back into the body. Cabriolet switch on dash lights up. No sounds of motors that appear to be stuck can be heard. Soft top works fine and opens/closes normally. Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated. I am hesitant to take into shop since I cannot diagnose the issue. FYI, I do most of my own work on the car but have no frame of reference for this problem.

POST 2Original post

It's the sensor that checks position, I will have to look fr more detail it has been awhile. Get back to you.
