Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So going into B'ham yesterday following the nav, sun comes out drop the roof (987.2 S FYI) and the nav sudden goes haywire, puts me miles away from where I actually am... Then travelled to Bristol and today back home (NW) but the nav still thinks I'm wondering around near Dudley somewhere lol Any ideas?

Callughan said: Try to reset, iirc press 148 at the same time. Sorry 148 on what? It's PCM3 in mine

POST 4Original post

Something almost identical happened to me recently. It was a broken GPS controller unit that had to be replaced. (Mine left me in the middle of the English Channel!)

POST 5Original post

Replacement PCM unit under warranty I suspect.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cheers... Hmmmm, I had my screen replaced on Good Friday (see my other thread) it's OE glass and the nav was working once replaced and up until the point I dropped the roof on Saturday, part of me thinks it's the screen/antenna more specifically the connection to the screen... Thoughts?

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So as I understand it now there is a GPS module bolted within the engine bay, under the plastic cover where the wiper motor/linkage is, is this correct? I'm thinking that maybe when the screen was replaced they didn't connect the cable correctly... worth a punt?
