Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Airbag light without obvious reason (lost communication...) non working controls for the left mirror (it is not the switch as the motors work OK - I checked manually).

Seeing as there are airbags in the door, I assume that I should disconnect the battery before touching this?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, I noticed on the driver's side (LHD car) that there is a gap in the wiring for the door. Is this a rubber boot or an electrical connector? If it is an electrical connector, do you think the latching mechanism is broken? How do I resolve this? Seeing as there are airbags in the door, I assume that I should disconnect the battery before touching this?

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My car is currently in the body shop but when I get it back I will try and document the process of removing and installing this connector with pictures. Disconnect the battery and wait the appropriate time to make sure the airbag system isn't charged Remove the torx bit at the bottom of the connector (you may need to remove the arm that limits how far the door will swing in order to get better access) Slide the connector up to remove Installation is simply the reverse order My guess is this is why my door speaker on this side isn't working, but will soon find out.

POST 3Original post

I would appreciate pics on how to disassemble this connector. It is a mystery to me. Thanks! Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk

POST 4Original post

I have similar problem, but I do not see any obvious problems. Airbag light without obvious reason (lost communication...) non working controls for the left mirror (it is not the switch as the motors work OK - I checked manually).

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
