Youd probably not find much change from £4-5k for this solution though, on the flip side on our drives out i've got people in 991/992 GT3's asking me how that old 996 is getting round those corners like it is
Leading evidence: 'Replace from £4-5k' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). its nicely sprung similar to stock so soft and great on the road but you can run x73/74 ride hight and the c2 model is due out in a few months / in final stages of testing so if you have a c2 and happy to wait could be a good solution

End of the year I will be looking to change out looking for something adjustable for height, no track use, fast road, recommendations for struts, shocks and springs ?

The Ohlins coilover option (which would have been my choice) is thought to be more track than road, can be used on road but is very harsh.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

End of the year I will be looking to change out looking for something adjustable for height, no track use, fast road, recommendations for struts, shocks and springs ?
I'm considering this as well.
Current setup:
H&R springs (30mm drop)
Koni special active dampers
Geo: X74
This setup drives really well on UK roads as a fast road setup but although really capable, I do notice that i'm not getting the quality of rebound/compression damping from my sportsbike days where my choice was Ohlins. Good for 6/6.5 tenths driving I recon but no more.
This is what I am hearing so far:
A lowered car on Bilstein B8s is generally thought to be over stiff on british roads,
The Ohlins coilover option (which would have been my choice) is thought to be more track than road, can be used on road but is very harsh.
B&C racing coilover option is thought to be "too cheap for a Porsche", but I have heard good things in racing circles.
Bilstein B16 PSS9/10 coilover used to be mentioned a lot but not so much now, appears to be a good road option,
KW variant 3 appears to be the daddy which is more expensive but tends to be rated highly.
Nitron coilovers, no idea
you can get Ohlins with a softer spring option which is much better. Nitrons R1 coilovers via prepwork come with softer dampening 4kg font 8kg rear springs and reports are a good b fast road options but still firm. could be used on track. I know of a few people with this setup that are happy with the road compliance.
I have feal 441+ coilovers with 3.5kg and 8kg spring and that's a half decent road setup and still ok on track but pot holes, speed bumps etc its really harsh so I've got Nitron roadsports coilovers with stock top mounts on order. these with the stock top mounts and meant to be much better on the harder bumps and give a lot more compliance for a road car.
the other option is Centre Gravity GT kit for c4 and turbo setup has great reviews. its nicely sprung similar to stock so soft and great on the road but you can run x73/74 ride hight and the c2 model is due out in a few months / in final stages of testing so if you have a c2 and happy to wait could be a good solution
It largely depends on what you want to spend, i went with Nitron R1's, Eibach/ RPM hollow adjustable arbs, adjustable rear toe arms and a relatively aggressive 'fast road' geo, the car is pretty ridiculous at going down the road but still plenty comfortable for me (this is subjective in itself as i know some people would find my car too harsh). Youd probably not find much change from £4-5k for this solution though, on the flip side on our drives out i've got people in 991/992 GT3's asking me how that old 996 is getting round those corners like it is
I have the Ohlins, with the standard spring rates, and I find the level of compliance perfectly acceptable for a B road. 10mph over a sleeping policeman? Horrendous. Speed up a bit and they settle right down.
I think people tend to assign too much value to the spring rate, and get scared of high rate springs without understanding how the system works. The most important thing is having a high quality damper which can control the spring and the body. Here’s a couple of posts I wrote:

Absolutely. People get scared of high spring rates, especially, but completely overlook the quality of the damper and its ability to control that spring. It’s difficult because there is no accepted common measure of ‘damper quality’, and a lot of what influences ride quality is too fast to be measured on a standard shock dyno, as I understand it.
The other factor which doesn’t help here, I suspect, is when...

Exactly that! I love talking dampers unfortunately, I’ve started now. Sorry.
The spring rate only really sets the wheel deflection under a consistent load, and the undamped natural frequency response to an impulse. So: how much pitch and roll you get for a given rate of acceleration and how fast the body would bounce if it had no dampers. The damper handles dynamics (wheel disturbance and transition between static load cases) by essentially filtering wheel forces between the spring and the body. Slow movements (steering and brake inputs) should go into the body so that the tyre is loaded...

I should also probably add that some bloke on the internet telling you X brand of coilovers are ‘fine’ or ‘harsh’ doesn’t really cut it, and that you need a ride in a properly sorted car in order to make your own mind up!
I agree with this statement. I've been in a car with Ohlin's on the standard spring rates and it was harsh for me in the passenger seat down a b road I was getting bounced all over the place.
I was one of the early adopters of the Koni Special Actives / H&R springs combo in the C2. It was good, but I quite fancy the KW v3 in mine this time around.
That's a bit of a big change, the Koni/H&R is super road friendly, very compliant and comfortable, albeit with quite a lot of control when pushing on. The KW is super firm, was too much for me on the road until you got to around 60mph.
