I have no input on discs as I haven’t replaced mine but have pads. I have changed from textar (which seemed ok and were on the car when we bought it) to ferodo. After bedding them in they are excellent. Not cheap at €500 for the complete set but very worthwhile.

£500 for a set of Pads…? WOW! Do they offer anymore feel at the pedal? That’s one thing I have found as lacking on the C4 (996.2) compared to my other vehicles, despite having new pads and discs and a full bleed. The pedal is firm but lacks feel and needs amount of pressure to get the car slowed.

I just use Eurocarparts and buy to my budget. Usually plenty of choice there. From memory I fitted Pagid discs and Brembo pads. Been happy with my choices. I don't track day the car.

They feel pretty good after bedding in, during the process I genuinely started to feel nauseous with the repeated and powerful braking. For me, only step left would be to go for full ceramics but I will wait and see, so far all impressions are great.

I've got some Carbotech XP8 pads front and rear for sale if you want to make the brakes REALLY good, they do squeal sometimes, however! I've replaced with some Textar OEM pads are Girodic front discs and the brakes remain really good but no sqeal. I'll chuck some Sebro slotted ones on the rear at some point, or Compbrake 2 piece ones.
