Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I bought a replacement handle from eBay but in the end I used my own after cleaning/lubricating as it was a better colour match, however I did transfer the rubber pieces from the replacement to my own during the reassembly process as one was missing which made the handle have a 'springiness' at one side, as well as presumably letting in water.
Leading evidence: 'Use own' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check rubbers' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

worst case I'll have to zip tie or use a blob of something to glue it on, but would prefer to replace the little plastic mount I snapped.

Also did the AWESOME Window regulator fix using a bike brake cable adjuster....

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi team,
I've just serviced a sticky passenger door handle by removing it, dismantling the mechanism and cleaning up the corrosion on the shaft before lubricating and refitting it.
Works great and is a rare 'free fix', apart from I manage to break the little plastic mount fixed inside the door that the door handle/lock actuator wire connectors locate into once they have been connected together as a unit.
It's given me a rattle now! - see yellow pointer for the bit I mean... can this be bought as a part or am I having to go MacGyver with the zip-ties?
Also a quick one, the clip shown in green on the below to locate the cable; my cable has 2 clips on it; one goes on the back of the handle mount as below, but what does the other clip further down the cable click into? I undid it by feel, but now can't for the life of me find a small 4/5mm hole anywhere sensible to click the second clip into!
There's a photo from pelican parts on my thread here that might help. Also, did you check the rubbers on the handle? If they're missing that's what gets the internals of the handle wet and rusty:

What's the saying - 'Out of sight, out of mind'!
The other day I'm washing my car and giving it a good hose down when the passenger side window starts erratically bobbing up and down (the amount it does when you open the door). It continued to do this until I managed to open the door and lower it slightly. As soon as the window was put back up it would start doing it again.
So I then go through the process of browsing here and youtube to see how to remove the door card, etc.
It's at that point you realise how shoddy some people in the trade are and the mentality of 'you can't see it...
Alex

Thanks Alex, I actually nicked my two pictures from Pelican Parts too!
I also made the mistake of screwing in the door handle connector a little too much, so once I'd got it all back together it appeared to work fine, until I locked and unlocked it and then could not open my door from inside or outside! Whilst trying to remove the door card with the door closed (not recommended!), I figured the car didn't know it was unlocked as the actuator position was too tight... I got very lucky as when leaning through the window, the pressure of my groin on the door allowed it to open so I could rectify the issue..... it was during my relief and smugness that I broke the the connector holder!
When you connect the electrical connectors together from door handle to actuator, the plastic connection slots into a plastic mount to keep it out of the way of the window glass... it's that mount I've broken and can't see it as a separate part on any of the D911 diagrams... worst case I'll have to zip tie or use a blob of something to glue it on, but would prefer to replace the little plastic mount I snapped.
Cheers
Update:
Found where to clip the second cable clip and managed to wedge mount the connector so it doesn't rattle...
Also did the AWESOME Window regulator fix using a bike brake cable adjuster.... what a top notch fix for a stretched regulator cable that's stopping the windows from dropping the proper amount when the handle is opened. Happy with that!
