Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm trying to put the full amount in the owners pocket! Paying a middle man will result them in negotiating on my behalf and on paying even more....it might be the only way but for now I'm trying to see if I can dig one out 'manually'

they cannot sell new cars over list, but they can sell 2nd hand cars for what ever they like.

180k it would have to be a 0.4 RS
Jamie, none of my business of course, have you sold all the Ferraris?
A bloke I know is a pal of yours - remember a fb pic from him with the 50 & 40, gorgeous cars.
Hope you are enjoying the 911's
MG in now America btw.

Hi Grant - yes no worries. I spoke to Mads today, he's well and his Mrs just had a baby.
As for the Ferraris, yes, all out of those. I just love how good the GT3s are to drive and how useable they are. The 4.0 being the best of them all. Shame most of them aren't being put to good use!

Have you had any thoughts about a Carrera GT to top your collection?

Whilst it's a Porsche, it's nothing like a GT3 to drive, and certainly not that useable!

Is that in a good or bad way, or just different ??
Good and bad.
Good is the presence, specialness, the noise and pace.
Bad is that it's much more difficult to drive on the roads (the clutch is a royal PITA, LHD and pretty wide), so ultimately not as rewarding 95% of the time.

That 5% where you get the most out of the car is well worth it though mate!

Unfortunately that's the bit I'd end up in the nearest lamp post!

Cool, cheers Jamie. Saw the little one on FB, looks a wee cracker.
Best of luck with the search..
Deposit paid on a black with black 4.0 - get in. Expensive but it is the best 911 ever and arguably the best Porsche ever, certainly road going. I cannot wait to spank it.
5k miles and UK RHD - will let you know more and pics once it is all settled. Excited to say the least, ever since that fateful day last year when I drove one PEC Silverstone I had to have one. Maybe I shouldn't have gone!
by all accounts end of next week - my only comfort is that I am probably not going to buy many more cars in the future. I don't really like paddles and it seems the really great engines will be a thing of yesteryear before too long. Not so much man maths as man philosophy.......or just crap!
Fair point.
Seems a foregone conclusion the next gen 911 (post 991) will have some form of hybrid tech. An engineering marvel maybe, yet pushes further away from it's roots...

Are you bored of the 991 GT3 already?

Looks like that was visitor and it was LHD
It was me. Congratulations with your purchase. Best ever Porsche. I took mine out despite the awful weather just to have a mini hoon before it goes into its annual service on Monday.

Sweet car. If you need a hand with it give me a shout.
I think its the most accomplished road car I've ever driven. Nearly faultless.
No not bored of the 991 GT3 but its a distant second to the 4.0 in my opinion.

I got a call from my OPC a few days ago asking if I wanted to move mine on as they had a 'good customer' searching for one. Mine's a keeper but great to hear you found one so quickly.
Here's mine (sorry about the crap iPhone pic) and black is definitely the best colour.
Maybe but if I'm right the plan is to drive this until the wheels fall off then buy a del miles car off someone that polishes theirs for fun! After the market has collapsed, which it will at some point...

Good man!
To be honest, I'm undecided on the wheel colour. I would probably go with Carrera GT Silver (matching the end plates of the spoiler and the sill decals) if I ever have them resprayed.

fingers crossed you're right and I'll buy your leggy RS of you! don't see overseas buyers cooling off anytime soon though
Quite a few of my mates are car dealers, including one or two in the very high end classic stuff. More pure speculators coming in and leveraging too. Also remember no one wanted cars 10y ago for investment purposes. That will happen again, interest rate rises are the most obvious trigger. But it won't be anytime soon.
Obviously a lot of people feel differently and that's great, but nothing goes up forever.

Haven't driven it for a while, we need to sort a track day. How's yours?
Since doing that MAg shoot with Total 911 its hardly been touched either. Cup tyres not good this time of year obviously. Was thinking that a track day or two this year mid summer would be a great idea. My lotus i usually use but i think if i could do a couple of Porsche only track days then that would work. Maybe a PCGB day or GT Porsche mag day at Brands.
Have only covered 1500 miles in the car since last june
Cool - I'd be keen if we can round up a few punters. I am the same, my other problem is the car just isn't that well suited to my local roads. Compared to the PASM cars. So I think its more one for high days and holidays, although I might sell it. I reckon I can get a madman to pay big bucks for it.

Really? Im hearing lots of stories of previously smashed cars available so im quite happy to hold mine for the time being. Let me know what you decide. A Porsche track day would be great fun and i guess other owners on here would join.
cheers

I'd've up for that (not that I own a 4.0 or a 6RS, sadly).
Where's it advertised?
So would I if my lowly GT3 cuts the mustard! Have just booked Silverstone in Feb (fingers crossed!) and Spa in April with Goldtrack, but those are not Porsche only. The Oulton RS day in March is fully booked sadly and PCGB haven't released track calendar for 2014 as far as I am aware. I have heard those tend to be quieter from whet I have heard, so may be worth a look.
Cheers

Spa ive booked for july but in the lotus. Spa id be interested in maybe with PCF only day anyone been on that? PCGB or GT Porsche dfay at brands is ideal. I think anything earlier than april at spa is always dodgy

PCGB day at Anglesey is confirmed for Sat May 17th. Other dates aren't out yet but expect most of these to be at Castle Combe and Goodwood.
p.s. Loads of Porsches booked on the BaT days at Spa and Zandvoort in July.

Hey Steve,
Trust all is well? Spa/Zandvoort double-header will be epic but am most likely at the Ring earlier in in the month with DN and have promised SWMBO that will be the only car related excursion in July due to hols. Have fun and apologies for OT posts.

NEVER get tired of pics of the GT3 in any shape or form!
I am extremely jealous of your garage though! ..........Not so much the car as if I had it, I would sell it, clear the mortgage and buy the car I have now and put it in THAT garage

Alex took a picture of your car when it came in to my place. I don't think I will ever get bored of looking at the 4.0 RS!
Thanks
