Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey all, I'm curious if anyone had ever considered the possibility adding cruise without the extra stalk? Looking at this excellent DIY guide , it seems like there's a couple of wires going from the stalk into the instrument cluster and fusebox to enable it work. My legs were too big to fit in a car with the extra stalk so wondered if there was a way controlling it via button in the cabin. Thoughts were along the lines of wiring a button to the relevant pins in the instrument cluster to turn it on, and then it's either turned off on the brakes or via button again. Doesn't necessarily need the extra controls to inc/dec speed etc. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

a button wont work as the cruise control needs multiway functions Porsche for safety reasons have always used a stalk for this control there are options in the market where other manufacturers have the control on the steering wheel, but this would require changing and rewiring a lot
