Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I pushed the boat a little and bought Delphi control arms (coffin arms) and JP Group (Dansk Classic) tuning forks…but I seems to have a huge gap between the coffin bush and the tuning fork??? Does anyone know if they have supplied me with the wrong parts? They were all requested for a 996 C2. Thanks

POST 2Original post

I'm guessing it's the tuning forks that are wrong. Easy to look under the front of your car and check the width of the gap on your new fork to your old one just to make sure it's that.

Thanks Alex, do you think they are GT3 forks or something?

POST 8Original post

that doesn't look right, that's what the part number looks like:

POST 9Original post

Part number on the box is for control arms for 996, front and rear, all the same. Difficult to see what you have in your photos

Gap measures 60mm which to me, looks about double!

Gap measures 60mm between the prongs. Your photo is showing as 997 if you look on the fork in the image, seems like there’s been a part number mixup at JP Group

POST 12Original post

I'll measure some when I get into work in the morning.

I measured an old part I have in the shed, it was 45 (ish) mm
