Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Good morning one and all, I have a question regarding my 2001 911 Cabriolet. How can I determine if my model is an AWD? I've searched the net and get conflicting stories. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, ot

POST 2Original post

You own it? I'm just asking. Ever had a front wheel off? Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk

POST 3Original post

Check the operator's manual first or like snake said, look under it.

POST 4Original post

Is your car badged and titled as a Carrera 4? If so, then that's what the 4 means, otherwise its not AWD You can also run the VIN and see how the car is configured: Porsche Build Sheets and Window Stickers by VIN | VIN Analytics

POST 5Original post

-Thanks for the suggestion. I did download the report but there is no mention of the drivetrain. I appreciate the advice.

POST 6Original post

Hi Steve - Yes, I own it. What do you mean by 'front wheel off'? Is there something I should look for? As you can see, I am not well versed in Porsche's. This is the first one I've owned.

POST 7Original post

Gotcha. Seems fairly intuitive to me. Wonder why I didn't think of that. I appreciate the quick reply. You've been very helpful.

POST 8Original post

This would be clearly visible and one end of it will go right into the center of the wheel hub. A RWD Porsche will not have anything entering into the center of the wheel hub. Nothing that could cause it to rotate. It's just a rolling wheel. (Thanks for being a good sport about my silly first comment)

POST 9Original post

I have a good sense of humor, so no offense was taken. Now, if you have Corvette questions, I think I can help. I've owned five of them and this is my first foray into the Porsche world. Thanks again.
