I'll have to check my build date, but I'm thinking it was early 2002.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Per a new rule in 2018 from the PCA " Every ABS whose PWIS programming includes an option for a PCCB flash may use that flash. Doing this seems to help with "ice" pedal and is inexpensive." Has anyone done this with regular, non PCCB brakes and has it improved braking or at least eliminated "ice mode"? Background - I experienced this running Buttonwillow CCW on the straightaway heading down Dogleg into Grapevine (125 mph down to about 35). Note, that it tends to happen with abrupt brake pressure and bumps or elevation change. If you know that section of the track, there is a slight bump about halfway through the braking zone (and I was hard on the brakes, threshhold braking).

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All - So I took my car (2002 C4S) to my local shop that has PWIS and they came back saying that PCCB is not listed as an option in my car's coding values. I found an old post from 2002 that said the following: FWIW, Porsche just announced the availability of PCCB on certain models starting late 2002 production. No prices have been released yet. - 911 Turbo - Individual Option - October 2002 - 911 C4S - Individual Option - November 2002 I'll have to check my build date, but I'm thinking it was early 2002. Can anyone add any more certainty to when PCCC was first offered as a coding option for 996s?
