Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
We take two English Springer Spaniels in the back of ours, in proper dog harnesses that clip into the seat belt, this ability was a key part of the decision to get one to replace an older classic car
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

This might seem a silly question, but does anybody transport their dog - in particular of labrador sort of size, in their 996? If so how? I'm sure ours would travel on the passenger seat - but that's not very safe and my wife wouldn't like having to travel in the back!
Answer will have significant influence on the next car purchased!
thanks
Tony

Amusing-at Woodvale Rally this last weekend, there were no end of all sizes of dogs riding with their owners ,all looking very "superior".1 guy had a very low 3 wheeler open Morgan look-alike & it cruised past with his dog ,wearing goggles perched in the drivers seat, front paws on the wheel, looking extremely competent & smug.No doubt some member of R18 might have a jpeg of it-I didn't have my camera. PS We have 1 cat & 5 tortoises but they don't generally travel at speed with us in the Porsches!
The best one I saw was a lady who had a Fiat Barcetta with a large Golden Retriever that regularly sat on the passenger seat, looking forward.... so what, I hear you say?... of course the Barchetta only came in LHD, so at a quick glance it looked like the dog was driving
We've got a dalmatian. She goes in the back ... begrudgingly as she cannot lie down as the seats are too small so has to sit up. Looks very regal sitting up against the back rest. Pain in the arse trying to get the hairs out though so I put plenty of sheets in the back.
Ive removed the rear seats for the Dog. Remove the small torx screw in the centre and they just come out. Other parts are secured with Velcro It also gives a LOT more space for luggage if you go on Holiday!!

Mind you, it's only a Jack Russell mutt.

p.s. Brian, please leave your prejudices behind; they're not clever or welcome.
This is Roy, he belongs to R1 member Donald Alexander and his lovely wife Anne.
Roy has had the pleasure of many a journey in various Porsche including 996 but now travels to many a Porsche do in his 997. I'm reliably informed he prefers his blue 997.
Why would you not have a dawg! We brought a 996 over a 986 / 987 S to get the back seat area. Due to the dip we put a couple of cushions in to level it up- Dog is happy with it, it is a little tight for her to keep swapping sides - but my seat is fully back as I'm tall - She is a Full size English Springer (27 Kilos)
