Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I replaced the a/c condenser/box in my 996, thanks to Pelican for the parts! When I was disassembling the dash, I removed the kick plate trim around the fuse box. I noticed a ground wire between the fuse box and the dead pedal all by itself. (grounded to the sheet metal of the car) There is a stubby piece of wire coming out of the terminal, but I don't know where the rest of the wire is. Any idea what ground this is for? the wire is small gauge.

POST 2Original post

Looks like a ground wire for an aftermarket stereo. Pretty sure Porsche would have a threaded ground lug type connection.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
