I actually dont want a tiptronic, but it looks like this method may get me into a 911 quicker than I expected - so long as I change frequently enough and private sale afterwards.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Evening,
I work for a large car retailer (as a project manager) - and as such I get to buy cars at cost price. A 2000 996 carrera 2 has turned up, very tidy, retail 30k, price to me 24k.
Now, in theory how long would I have it for before it depreciated to below that level? Is this the bargain it seems?
Cheers
M

depends on colour and spec, book prices mean nothing,
mileage, condition, history, colour & spec,
make valueing a 911 a minefield,
give us the low down, and maybe we can help

well you would struggle to retail it for that price tbh,
2000 X I take it yes,
a dealer friend purchased a meridian, with black leather, and full GT3 body kit, and 30k miles, W reg full history, last year for 25k
tip, is against it,
I would say it would retail at £27.5k tops, and you can expect a year from it (tops), before you can sell private for what you are paying
This is ofcourse subjective, however I am sure others will add their thoughts

It would depend on whether you would be trading the car in with a dealer on disposal as it would probably have depreciated straight away - this is on the basis that you purchase at trade value not below it. As Daz points in, if you can sell privately or get your employer to sell it on, on a commission basis you will prob be quids in for a while.
