Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I would really like to put the 19" sport design wheels that come as standard on the 997 on my 2000 996 Carrera. Has anyone done this already, or similar? Do people think it will work. Porsche in Wilmslow and Silverstone don't advise it however they wouldnt advise much really would they?? Help Migration info. Legacy thread was 118868

POST 2Original post

I think some people on here have put 19"s on their 996s - so it can work. Not sure what it may do to the ride though. Wheels are a very personnal choice - have you tried talking to an indy? They may give some better advice. Migration info. Legacy thread was 118870

POST 3Original post

Hi All 997 wheels will fit on 996 narrow and wide body cars, however some veriants will require spacers. My 3 is currently running on 19" Sport Design for road use and I switch between Cargraphic's with Cup tyres for dry track days and standard GT3 wheels for damp track days. Migration info. POST 4Original post

There is a car in Autotrader on 997 wheels, must say it does look good. You can get replpica 997 wheels in 18in as well so no issue with the sizes Migration info. Legacy thread was 118897
