Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

In the past Porsche has never been black(or very rare) and black color dont have nothing in common with Porsche history.. Todayd almost every Porsch is black, when this revolution comes from??

POST 2Original post

I would say that the grays & silvers outnumber the blacks. At least in my part of the world. I hate maintaining black paint. So much more effort. But when clean and shiny, it does those Porsche curves so well. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk

I bought my first Boxster in 1997. It was black. Early racing cars were painted in the country's racing colors. Germany was silver. Britten was green. Italy was red. Later colors changed to sponsor colors like Gulf blue/orange.

POST 4Original post

POST 5Original post

Silver/gray easily best sellers. Black is down the list a bit in terms of popularity. Personally, I LOVE black, but it is a PITA to maintain...

POST 7Original post

Today almost every Porsche sold is a 4-door front engine with AWD and automatic ( PDK ) transmission too. For the 2-door cars Black has dropped in popularity a ton over the last 10 years, definitely dominated by Silver/Gray/White.
