Did a little pre-summer front brake maintenance including replacing the maximum dust Brembo pads with Akebonos that are so highly recommended here.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Did the front lower control arms too (coffin arms) chasing a creaky sound a low speed, but this didn't fix it.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not a lot of S.Cal droptop driving this winter, wet weather and all. Did a little pre-summer front brake maintenance including replacing the maximum dust Brembo pads with Akebonos that are so highly recommended here. Original rotors were at minimum so went with Pagid coated from RockAuto and new brake lines. So far so good. After 100 plus miles there's much less dust and zero squeal. A little more pedal pressure is needed but not bad and even that might improve with more miles. Oh, and put a coat of cheap "9H" brand ceramic coating on the wheels, FWIW. Anyway, more confirmation that the Akebono pads run clean and are great for the street. I will get around to the rears soon. Did the front lower control arms too (coffin arms) chasing a creaky sound a low speed, but this didn't fix it.
