Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Hello, I have same car as yourself. I had the ECU re-mapped about a month ago. Gained another 15bhp exactly. More noticeable from about 5000 rpm. Money very well spent. Whilst there also had a full geometry set up. If you have not had that done again it really transforms the car. The whole lot cost me £470 inc. VAT and was completed in a day. You will find they are booked a few weeks ahead though. Hope this helps. Paul

Scottster had this done to his 993 Carrera last Wednesday. I'm sure he'll post a reply soon. Domster

POST 3Original post

Yer, whether it's worth the money or not is up to you. My starting BHP was 266 (should be 272) and finished at 283. Ok, gained 17 BHP but you only notice it a little when going ten tenths. It's nice to know your car is running well and it cost alot less than buying a varioram baby with the same power. However, the more I get into the 993 thing the more (and very quickly) I'm reasliing that there's lots of shite upgrade stuff out there and you need to be very careful about what you put on your car. (Not saying that about AmD, they were fine, but he pointed out some other stuff that I hadn't thought about). So outcome, more power - Yes. Noticable - Marginal, but you can tell it's running smoother. Laters
