Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

Hello Graeme. I'm happy to hear that the flash worked without issue. Can I ask you how the ECU read process worked for you? I have 996 turbo and simply can't get the software to read my ECU, have confirmed everything twice! I'm starting to think its maybe an incorrect (have heard of this somewhere else). Can you read me through you process if you dont mind?

POST 3Original post

I would suggest you contact Softronic and ask as it may go quicker..??.. I'm not aware of any issues with a read nor have been contacted. Perhaps you bought it from a dealer and once again contact them for assistance. The process is very simple and many customers on this site can tell you. For some reason your the second person in the same area that posted this issue. I posted this also in your other post, as 2 out of your total of 4 posts had been on this. The post was also by Vivid and not by Graeme. Best Regards, Scott Slauson

POST 5Original post

I would like to thank Vivid Racing and Softronic for there patience and assistance with the flashing of my 996TT just recently. After a little issue with the cable, and a replacement prompted provided, the read process took approximately 2 minutes once setup and ran without issue. My tuned flash file and original were supplied inside 24 hours (thanks to time difference between the US and Oz) and the 'write' took about 5 minutes. The car does have more 'pull' through the mid range across all gears and will be a lot of fun on next track day. I also look forward to a dyno and see what exactly my baby is producing now.
