Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

and it was a discharged battery. I really don't want to pay dealer prices for a new battery, any recommendations? Sears, delco, etc. Would like one that just replaces the original one (no mods). Any cranking amps, etc I have to look for? This is for a 2007 Boxster S Thanks.

POST 2Original post

Autozone. Duralast. They have them in stock and they fit perfect with the drain and all. I have one. Works great.

POST 4Original post

POST 6Original post

of course Porsche has the most expensive battery I have ever seen...... http://www.ubergizmo.com/15/archives/2009/11/porsche_shows_lithium-ion_car_battery.html

POST 7Original post

When you put the new one in, be sure to check your charging system and make sure that it's charging ok. Just put a volt meter across the terminals and check the DC voltage when the car is running. I'm not sure what the spec is for the Boxster. For motorcycles anything between 13.5 and 14.5V is good (I have a motorcycle shop)

POST 8Original post

Sears Die Hard...it really is the best built battery for the money. Also Rated #1 Consumer Report and there is no such thing as a cheap battery.
