I was advised by a friend to send the unit to a company called controlunits.com in the UK, which I have done but they are unsure if they can repair the unit.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi I’m new to this site, I own a 996.1 year 2000. Recently the PSM light came on. I took it to my local Porsche specialist who diagnosed the fault as a leak coming from the ABS/PSM hydraulic block. I attach photo of block showing where the leak is coming from. It is possible to demonstrate the leak by depressing the brake pedal hard. The light didn’t go off once the fluid had been topped up. I live in France and the cost of a replacement unit is eye wateringly expensive, over €6000. My (French) Porsche specialist and I were unable to find anybody who could offer any hope of repair in France. I was advised by a friend to send the unit to a company called controlunits.com in the UK, which I have done but they are unsure if they can repair the unit. The ECU is fine. They are looking for a replacement block. Does anybody know of a company who could repair the existing block? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

Thanks Alex, the Porsche part number on my pump and valve body is the same as the Boxster unit but the last two numbers are 52 instead of 05. The Bosch part number is 0265 225 097. are these units interchangeable? Sorry to be a pain but your advice would be invaluable as I’m being told conflicting things! Many thanks
