hi all looking for the best place to get engine mounts also front and rear top mounts. Car is booked in at centre gravity for suspension over haul trying to save some ££. Car is 2003 turbo coupe x50 can I get a discount at main dealer if I’m not Porsche GB member ? Also is there any difference in quality compared to design 911.

I have them on my car and they were a big improvement
For top mounts, 997 front mounts can be used but only if the geometry settings (i think camber...?) are not too extreme....but just speak to CG.
If we narrow it down to after market versions of the OEM type. Is there any of the regular brands that should be avoided?
Is the engine mounts same for all 996 versions? I have a 996.1 3.4 from 1999.
This is timely for me too. I have just had a price for OEM mounts for a 996 Turbo from an OPC: £427 each!
Design 911 have some "oe match" unbranded things for £83, which I feel has to be worth trying first? Has anyone else had them?
thanks for reply guys! Yes I called Sidcup Porsche they wanted £511 each ouch !! Think I’m going to try the rs mounts photek recommended just concerned about more vibration in the cabin squeak and rattles bother me quite a bit.

They take 15min to fit, so its not a hard job
There is a little extra noise and vibration at idle, but once you're moving it goes away. The back of the car seems to move around less, it feels more planted.
I'd absolutely recommend them
so on the topic of engine mounts i need to replace mine. I am trying to decide between REIN ones from Rockauto (£206 delivered) - thanks
