Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Unless an electrical plug or harness was damaged when the CV joint was replaced, I can't see how the two are related.

Suggestion

Perhaps, first you take the key out of the ignition and disconnect the battery.

Suggestion

Many times when working on a car, people dont take the first step in disconnecting the battery, so the battery stays on and power interior lights for hours.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My rear cv joint went at low speed, repaired and all my lights are on, engine code torque converter, top won't go down and trip tronic not working. What could be causing all of this. Never had an issue with car I drove car seems to be driving fine

POST 2Original post

We need some more info, like year and model. If an automatic and the tiptronic is not working, how did you drive it? Perhaps, first you take the key out of the ignition and disconnect the battery. You can touch the positive and negative cables (after removing from battery) to clear any codes. Then reconnect, and drive the car. Unless an electrical plug or harness was damaged when the CV joint was replaced, I can't see how the two are related.

POST 3Original post

A bad battery can cause all sorts of issues like this. Many times when working on a car, people dont take the first step in disconnecting the battery, so the battery stays on and power interior lights for hours.

POST 4Original post

+1 and if the battery gets drained to dead-dead, and its very old it can be a killer on the battery.
