Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm sure this example has been either owned by a fellow member or seen by you guys but just thought I'd start a new thread and hope to update this with future changes/maintenance/cleaning!

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 1 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all I wasn't meant to be looking for another car as I haven't sold my Lotus Exige S but I had to jump on It because I sort of fell in love with it... I clearly love a 996 this will be my 3rd the first two I had that started my itch was 996.1 C2's this is a little different but always like the look of the CSR stuff nice choice upgrades all been put together by a great team and lovely package inside and out, I took delivery of It just yesterday had it inspected by Goss Hall Classics all looks great I'm just looking forward to nice weather to go driving. I'm sure this example has been either owned by a fellow member or seen by you guys but just thought I'd start a new thread and hope to update this with future changes/maintenance/cleaning! Started life as a 2004 C4S Basalt Black non Sunroof black leather but now fully Retrimmed in alcantara and a set of Recaro Pole positions with houndstooth inserts. Image taken from RPM's stock photo when It was built late 2018 I will add my own as soon as I get It home.

POST 3Original post

Congratulations. Look forward to further pics as you get them...

POST 4Original post

Awesome. I saw this up for sale and I’m glad it has gone home to a forum member. Got to be one of the best looking 996’s out there.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys, I really was taken by how It looked when I saw it on PH never expected to be buying another but I felt compelled to buy it!, The spec is all the bits I could want looking forward to improving It, I've seen the collecting cars advert from a few years back I'll update this tread

POST 8Original post

Congratulations, looking forward to more pictures, I have to admit that the CSR builds were a big inspiration for my car

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks again guys, few more pictures, I'm going to buy a OEM Turbo front splitter I think It will look nice I'll keep the C4S one Its got a few bumps and scratches plus I love the Turbo one. Set of 200Cell cats I Other than cleaning everything top an bottom because I'm sad like that I think I'm happy with it as is.. one reason why I loved It so much is that It has everything done Jez - I did too love the parts used that RPM put together as a package, sort of retro/clubsport style I love, not just show but performance based too!

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I should also say Oli at Bure Valley Classics was very helpful very accommodating due to me not being able to get to see the car and has some lovely stock! Genuinely nice to chat to so hopefully I will get to a cars and coffee at Bure Valley Classics in near future.

POST 13Original post

More photos on an earlier CollectingCars advert

POST 14Original post

Well done, congrats, lovely bit of kit. I looked at that car many times as a C4S owner. I believe it was the only C4S CSR. Ducktail is a work of art. Would like to see a few pics of that area. Sorry I have a few Questions for you. I could never quite workout what they did with the wheels. Fuchs don’t seem to make wide body spec’s sizes. Are there spacers? Did this car get the lightweight flywheel? Does it have gearbox chatter below 2k ?

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah loads of pictures on the CC advert drac - Cheers, Yeah I believe It is the only C4S CSR done so far, It's still in storage until 1st Feb due to some garage doors being installed at my house so thought best just keep It in secure storage until then! glad I did with this storm we had SE got it fairly bad. But as soon as I get my hands on It I will get loads of pictures for you of the ducktail no worries, again regards to the gearbox I will report back It does have the lightweight flywheel installed yes as per the invoices I was given, Funny you mention the wheels, I was thinking they could come out a little more front and back 'slightly' again from the invoices there is mention of spacers I will be taking wheels off to clean etc so I'll let you know sizes if you want, the wheels are 10x18" rear and 8x18" front I assume the Turbo body could take 12's? rear If anyone knows this?
