Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am getting a custom built 996 C4S and interested to hear everyones thoughts on what I might do with it. My initial thoughts are: Convert C4S donor car to 2 wheel drive with LSD Complete engine rebuild to 3.9L with Tiptronic Gearbox Bare metal respray in Porsche Mint Green (N4) Black Kevlar roof with other black accents Fuchs 18" Wheels Black Leather bucket seats with mint green backs and porsche pepita houndstooth fabric seat inserts or maybe alcantara? Mint green stitching around the leather doors and console Mint Green Seat Belts Alcantara covered Steering Wheel with mint green stitching Replace steering wheel paddles with mercedes AMG paddles Not sure what to with the spoiler eg. No Spoiler Duck Spoiler ? as >70% of the car is being replaced, the mileage will go back to zero and a new service booklet started. All suggestions welcome

POST 2Original post

Here is a good example for inspiration. Why the tip? Sounds good but I think something like oak green would better. Ducktail for me everytime on a 911. I would say Fuchs are going to look too small on a C4s.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tip because so used to PDK. Looking for unusual colour. Oak too dark for me wnat something lighter could go for a metallic pale green so not as loud. GT3 wheels another option

POST 4Original post

VW or Porsche Olive green is lovely and bit lighter. Fuchs would work but would need to be 19in I think. Depends if you want a period look, current look or a retro look.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for that will take a look. Hoping for a Retro look

POST 7Original post

have a look at damos rust box project posted yesterday - his spoilers front and rear look sweet

I did the same. Bare metal respray in Mint Green

Is that the raw photo or has it been photoshopped to turn up the brighness of the green? Looks altered to me - the rest of the colours in the photo don't look natural? If it's altered, do you have the raw image?

Although I do like the look of Fjord Green From all other photos of mint green I’ve seen, it looks pretty accurate to me

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think I am moving towards Fjord Green - Classier

Nope thats the colour from iphone pic. Looks different in different lighting. Internet never really shows pastels correctly. Under white lights here at 9e probably most honest representation. It has a piano finish Porsche spent hours and hours de nibbing. Probably the best non factory paint I've ever seen tbh and I am super fussy. Its certainly better than the paint it left the factory with which had quite a bit of orange peel in its original Basalt Black. The speed traffic gets out the way now awesome
