Hi,
im looking at refreshing my 2005
Boxster
suspension as its at 95k miles on original shocks. I found a really good deal on
bilstein
B8 shocks near me, what springs could I pair those with so the street ride can still be comfortable and I don't need to get any other suspension parts due to the lower ride height.
or should I just go with B6's?
R springs
are great.
Don’t fool yourself you need a whole bunch of new suspension parts anyways that mileage and age.
im currently in the process of replacing the entire front suspension already and I already have all the stock parts so was just hoping to avoid buying even more.
the R's look great, any idea if H&R sports are any good?
also how much lower will the car sit with the
R springs
and b8 shocks? im just a little worried about bottoming out while driving around as its just a street car 99% of the time
I have some experience with H&
R springs
and they are great!
If you end buying the B8's you have to use lowering springs, otherwise you should use the B6's (standard height).
Sorry but completely agree with Rick, that with that mileage you should replacve as well the 'coffin arms' and the long caster arms.. Afterwards, you will not believe the difference in the handling department (even) if you go with the stock height springs and the B6 struts!
Not sure if H&R have standard heiht springs to go with the
Bilstein B6
's
I don't think that you will have many options on the H&R springs, most likelly, one choice for lower stance (+/-) 1.3" these springs are not too pricey and you may be able to match them with a set of H&R sway bars, you will like the handling and compliance at the same time..
H&R products are TUV (Germany) approved and their quality are great for the price, IMHO, you cannot go wrong with them.
Just pulled the trigger on them, can’t wait to get them in
anyone got any recommendations for spacers once I have the new springs shocks etc in?
I'm running
R springs
on
Koni
Orange shocks.
Love the ride, but every driveway is a negotiation.
