Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not had my 996.1 C2 many weeks and already changing things! Trying to fit a new ashtray/window switch unit in the centre console, bought a second hand one from eBay which is in better condition than mine, has all switches etc present. The original comes out the centre console no problem but I’m buggered if I can pull the wiring plug off the back of the switches! Is there a technique to releasing these? Had a good look with a torch nothing obvious. Any help greatly appreciated as always

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Really?? I’ll try that Alex thank you

POST 4Original post

Warm the plug up then give it a good wiggle whilst pulling.
