Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Will be a few weeks before it actually gets fitted (as is always the case), but I now own it(!) Probably one of the best unboxings I'll get to enjoy

That makes a nice change to the tried and tested routes.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I love that you can still get this made to order for a ~23 year old car
I've been thinking about the Ruf 996s since I bought my own car 10 years ago. Finally bit the bullet. Will be a few weeks before it actually gets fitted (as is always the case), but I now own it(!) Probably one of the best unboxings I'll get to enjoy
Slightly thicker and heavier than the factory bumper(s), which I appreciate. The focus on the ducting though is significant compared to the factory parts - particularly the centre rad which always felt like an afterthought from the factory.
Yep. Everything you see on the floor comes as part of the one part number. I was particularly keen that all openings lined up with functional ducting, which seemed to be something I'd lose going down any other route than a factory 996.1 GT3/aerokit front bumper.
Like all things recently, it took a while, but eventually it got done(!)
Still adjusting to my car having a new "face" but I like it - the thought of doing this has been at the back of my mind for ~10 years, so if nothing else it gives a sense of completion(!)
Happily it's already passed the necessary kerb/driveway tests - it actually gives better clearance than my previous centre mounted Cup chin spoiler
Hi,
sorry for replying to an old thread.
The bumper looks fantastic. Were you still able to order it brand new from Ruf? I only see the Facelift Bumper listed on their website.
This was ordered new from Ruf, but I went via Ruf UK who liaised with "Ruf HQ" - I'd had a bit of a previous mixed experience dealing directly with Ruf when I bought the wing mirrors, so didn't want any potential confusion with a front bumper(!) Biggest issues was getting it shipped to the UK, but Ruf UK figured an option out with me...

Despite being the official Ruf part the bumper still took a lot of body working I may still try and further finesse the fitment when I do a big round of body work on the car later this year
