Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I run the Joe Toth front splitter and I’m lowered but don’t often catch.

That front lip (front lower splitter) will just have be a consumable that I change every now and then to keep it looking as close to perfect as I can.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Do you take every speedbump at an angle to avoid scraping the underside of the lip?
I've scraped it twice and now take every speedbump or inclined driveway at an angle due to paranoia. I guess with driving the car more I'll know which ones I can go over normally but it's challenging in London.

Is your car lowered, mine is standard and I only catch it very occasionally overall, and not usually on speed bumps. The one on the C4s maybe a better bet as it is higher in the centre!
I was like this until I realised that I can straddle the cube-type of speed bumps and simply slow down a little for the full Road width speed restrictions.
The cars not lowered. I haven't had any issues in my area prior to scraping the lip underside in Uxbridge near the industrial area. I guess it should be fine on most humps. Just need to work which ones are too high or have too big of a camber. I'll take a picture of my nemesis as I'll be back there on Saturday lol.
Well,
Billstein B8 with H&R springs in combination with a Joe Toth lip was not the biggest succes =).
I am remaking the lip now out of 1 piece with some extra strength hoping it to last longer.
I got a new one on mine when I bought it (as the previous owner had put a C4S splitter on it) and immediately caught it on something. As like you.. just decided it’s never going to be perfect and will just replace it when it annoys me too much.
My car is standard and I have to slow down for loads. Dread to the think what an aero lip is like or if it was lowered. How people get in and out of GTOne (in Chertsey) I have no idea.
I consider mine (regular black plastic Turbo one) a consumable. It's presumably flexible and unpainted for a reason.
It doesn't hit speed bumps but does often ground when coming off raised zebra crossings, those long speed bumps and multi story ramps. It was already scuffed when I got it and each new scuff just goes over and old one, so it's not getting measurably worse.
I plan to fit a new one when I sell the car but in reality I'll probably just sandpaper the stringy bits of shredded plastic off. It'll probably look worse with fresh black trim and faded radiator cowl slats.
Has anyone painted the turbo lip to body colour?
Came across this on another forum where they put the c4s lip on the turbo and painted it in body colour.
