Scratching my head over this, but maybe someone can set me straight. I recall being able to scroll through the display settings and get a readout of the tire pressures for each tire as a readout of the current pressure in PSI. Now whenever I select tire pressure I only get a display that tells me if a tire is +1, or -2 for example. Is it possible to change that back to display the actual pressure like it used to be, such as LF - 37 psi; LR - 40 psi, etc,?
Mine shows individual pressures in PSI. Do you still have your owner's manual? I'm sure it addresses this.
Yes, I have the manual and it clearly states that the display can be toggled between tire pressure readout and pressure differential but I have tried numerous combinations of the left stalk clicks but cannot seem to get the results I want. I will try again later while driving because I seem to recall a message in the past that certain features are available/not available either while the vehicle is in motion or at rest. But unless my memory is impaired or I am confusing this issue with another vehicle I swear I remember switching back and forth between those two options.
I’m no expert, but the only time I’ve seen a feature not available with tpms stuff is when setting a new wheel (summer vs winter, etc). Curious to see what you find. I haven’t seen this delta setting, either, and would want to switch back to actual pressure, too.
There is a menu option. This is how dealer techs fill your tires.
In the pic I posted from the manual, it shows the menu items. Unfortunately, every menu item I tried still does not get me to the desired display shown in the left side of the page. I’m baffled because I have seen my instrument panel display this in the past, but for all my efforts I cannot get that display back.
So is this a
987.2
? The TPM option in the display menu only shows the +/-. However if you just move the lever up and down to scroll through the display options (without first pushing the stalk to get into the menu) you should see the actual tire pressures in PSI: did you try that?
Mine is a
987.1
, I will dig deeper into that tmow and experiment with some more wrangling. At one point, while I was cycling through the menu options I ended up doing a reset of the tire type and when I backed out of the settings to ‘home’ the message read TPM SYSTEM LEARING‘ and the tire readout was displaying the current tire pressure. After pulling the stalk back to clear the message, that display disappeared. Can’t get it back. Try again tmow.
gubi, thanks for your suggestion. Driving home tonight I followed your directions and was finally able to get the current tire pressure readout. All along I was going through all the motions while sitting in my garage. Which only yielded me the differential pressure, + or -. Turns out what I was seeking only displays while the vehicle is in motion. And I knew all along that I had seen that display in the past, but just didn’t recall how I attained that. Mystery solved. 👍
