Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have. 2001 996 C4. When I start the car the rear spoiler light comes on. As soon as I start to drive it goes out. It is difficult to believe this is normal. Any suggestions on how to correct it? Thank you for your time.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you, I checked the fluid and it was over the hot mark on the stick. I corrected that. Checked the light on two different occasions, light still comes on at start, but goes off once the car starts to move.

POST 4Original post

That is normal. The light always comes on at start up but goes out as soon as you the and reach a certain mph. It is a system pre-check. If it comes while you are driving or reach 75 mph and the spoiler does not deploy then you have an issue that needs to checked out. It is in the owners manual if you have one.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you very much, I do have the manual and will read up on it. Thank you again.
