Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Re: Where is the oil coming from??? Hi Guys I've just noticed in the engine compartment of my gen2 996 the connecting hose on the left side of the plenum has oil misting on it particularly around the jubilee clip connecting it to the plenum. Also on the right lower side in front and around the same level as the engine mount I've spotted what looks like a breather pipe that is heavily oiled also... Is this likely a related issue.. Any help on what the cause is would be much appreciated.. My first thought as oil in on the plenum pipe and throttle body and what appears to be a breather pipe could it be anything to do with the AOS failing? Pics attached

Hi..Yes I identified what was causing the oil in the pipe.. I asked Chris at Wrightune about it when the car was there for a replacement coolant expansion tank.. He said the pipe in the pic is attached to the Air Oil Separator which he suggested is starting to fail..
