Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know the best answer is to replace the piece, but I would have to replace the entire windscreen and it's not cracked. Any suggestions on what to use to make this slightly less fugly? Plastidip? I would prefer something I can just brush on, but I guess gloss black something might work as a temp fix? It's cracking badly, I just want to prevent it getting worse until I can get it done right. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

POST 3Original post

I have two spots like that on my rear window . I plan to use high gloss black paint and touch it up with a small artist brush . Will build up 4-5 layers and call it done .

POST 5Original post

Per Dans earlier suggestion, Id recommend going with a full new surround/windshield trim. What youve got there is never going to look good no matter what kind of touch up job you do. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and do it right.
