I'll keep the company's name to myself as I have not actually tried to use them to cover a repair yet...
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Ask your local dealer, even if you don't buy the car from them, they will likey sell a warantee to you providing it meets the requirements (like year/milage)
CPO can be applied to a vehicle up to 8 years old and under 100K.
Whether many dealers will do it is the question.
I have an 03 996 that was CPO'd in Feb of 2009 but it was sold (twice) and serviced by that dealer for the cars entire life.
from the PCNA site:
Are all pre-owned Porsche vehicles suitable for the Porsche Approved Certified Pre-owned Program?
Vehicles eligible for inclusion may be current model year and be no older than (8) years old from the original in-service date with less than 100,000 accumulated miles or 160,000 kilometers. In addition the vehicle must pass a stringent 100+ point inspection conducted by our authorized Porsche dealerships. This program excludes Carrera GT.
My dealer will not CPO a car they did not sell. I asked. They offered their regular used-car warranty through a company they have used for years (even before CPO). ~$3,000 for bumper to bumper and loaner car with $100 deductible.
Careful on 3rd party warranties and look DEEPLY into what's covered and what is not. Many of them I've researched that are a "good price", wouldn't cover any major drivetrain damage (IMS, RMS, transaxle, etc.). The ones that did were many thousands of dollars (upwards of 6k+), and even so, some folks that had even those complained about the need to fight with them to get major issues fixed.
I have proceeded cautiously and talked with both the service advisor at the local dealership and my independent mechanic on their experience with this specific company. So important to ask about things like seals and gaskets, repairs to fix potential problems that have not yet broken (like compression leakage), and lifetime limits on coverage.
I'll keep the company's name to myself as I have not actually tried to use them to cover a repair yet...

Oh, and to answer your original question, no.
CPO requires certain mileage, etc. It can only be done on cars sold by the dealer. There was a time when certain dealers were bending the rules by dummying the paperwork but that is no longer happening. These days, even if the dealer sends you a letter offering an extended warranty, it's through a 3rd party vendor.
I bought one underwritten by Fidelity Warranty Services from my local Porsche dealer. My Turbo is a 2003 and it had 31k miles when I bought it; they offered 2/3/4/5/6yr warranties. It's an exclusionary warranty that lists items that it excludes from coverage.
I did a little research on FWS and they are owned by JM Enterprises, which I thought to be a plus. I have yet to use it yet (knock on wood).

I heard reasonably good things about the easycare warranty on this forum. The posts I read suggest that they have actually paid out on some folks rms issues and ims-related engine failures. Their high-end warranty has no parts exclusion list, other than the usual wear items like brake pads, tires etc... It does say something about not racing - not sure if this excludes all track events. I just bought one for my 02 cab.
