Hi, Does anyone know where the Gateway Control Module is located on a 987.1 , and possibly how to access it? Any photos or videos? I believe it's in the driver's side footwell, somewhere under the fuses, but not sure. , Thank you!

The unit in your picture is the "vehicle electrical system control unit," not the gateway. I believe it is indeed in the driver's footwell above the fuse box. It's way up in there, you may have to lay on your back on the driver's floor to see it. For reference the Gateway unit is part number 997.610.107.03

Thank you. I have seen all sort of names for it indeed. I guess it's a "Steuergeraet Bord" and all the bad translations that go with it I will look for it where you mention and will post an update with photos if possible, because despite searching everywhere, I haven't found yet a definite answer to the question.

I checked under the passenger seat, not there. Close to the fuse box, I think I only found the immobilizer one... I don't know where the modules are in the frunk... I checked around and couldn't see anything.

If anyone ends up looking for it, it's under the dash on the driver's side (for both RHD and LHD since they adapt the wiring), above the relays box. To access it, you will need to disassemble the lower dash panel on the driver's side. There is one Youtube video that shows this as part of the replacement of the ignition switch.
