Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I like to think of my car as a 'classic', she's in superb condition just over 95K miles and self serviced regularly (yep, I just deal with the annoying service reset warning).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hi! Recently moved to the Raleigh, NC area and had my beloved, but aging 2005 987 Boxster S in storage for a bit and of course dead battery. After buying new battery I don't have my heated seats, which I've read is a common problem. Also my driver side mirror dimming seems to have died as it's always a darker shade, which I've read is basically a new mirror assembly required. Also the passenger side mirror no longer automatically rotates down when reverse parking. And of course seat memory gone which I think is linked to the mirror parking thing! Pretty crazy this happens. Anyone got access to the tool required to turn back on the options I paid for when buying the car? I called P-car dealer and they were actually kinda rude like I was some old hobo! I like to think of my car as a 'classic', she's in superb condition just over 95K miles and self serviced regularly (yep, I just deal with the annoying service reset warning). Haven't been able to find an indie shop that can help as they don't have the tool required. TBH - this is pretty ridiculous that there should even be a charge to get my car options I paid for working, and seems like horrible design! Any help appreciated. Thanks!
