Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All I am half way through retro fit PCM2 unit. The unit from germany seems relative old and has no facility in the main menu to change to English text, only speech in English. When you press the main and trip buttons the software version does not show. Is there a CD that allows you to enter updated versions ie. 2.1 3.0 etc. If so, how do you go about getting one. Thanks Graham

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am not 100% sure, but I think that I have read somewhere that PCM2 software updates can only be carried out by an authorised porsche mechanic (they need the special diagnostics tool - can't remember its name). Once you are up to version 3 (which is the latest) then every time you insert a newer map it will do the minor updates.

Tub, Have you a system settings? My PCM 1 changes language in this menu wich is found in the on board computer screen. Look under settings if it is there RB

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If i go into Main then settings GB shows under Sprachen but it does not change text. I think a trip to the garage may be required. Thanks Graham
