Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How does the boxster drive in the snow? The car most similar that I previously owned was a VW fastback. If I recall it was not too bad in the snow since it kept moving. The engine sat right over the rear axle. The dealer Silver Star in Long Island, suggested getting the 17" Continental tires for the winter and use the 18" carrera alloys for the summer which I did.

POST 2Original post

Not bad at all. With the great steering sensitivity it is easy to tell exactly where your limits are. In fact the snow turns my commute into a car-control clinic, which is really fun! You just don't get to play with throttle-induced oversteer in the summer. My only regret is that the Boxster doesn't have a LSD to get a little more traction in some situations.
