Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, I have owned my C4S 2003 for a few months and am learning how to use the Tiptronic properly. I have read a few articles and know the gearbox is meant to adapt to your driving style at a particular time. I would be interested to know how other drive the C4S to get the best out of the box when driving harder. I have found that when pushing on and changing down in Auto that the engine sometimes really over revs and doesn't sound to great, plus there is a good couple of seconds (or it seems like) lag when I do this. Anyone had this experience? Has anyone found the best Rev to change from, say 4th to 3rd to 2nd to get things really moving? I don't like the high rev from dropping it down as above, it just seems to rev high and not move, progressive change down seems better? Just wondering what other think? Cheers all Rhys
