This motor did have a new bank 1 head installed a few years ago due to an intermix issue, and there�s a LONG list of part #�s on the invoice that was replaced.

Not such a concern on the 3.4 motors - Porsche used a better piston in the first two years. Check you cam shaft deviation.....five chains running over 20 year old plastic chain guides is a wear item to think about.

Thankfully nothing there or in the pickup. This motor did have a new bank 1 head installed a few years ago due to an intermix issue, and there�s a LONG list of part #�s on the invoice that was replaced. Still. I wouldn�t mind the Durametric #�s 04/99 build date if it means anything. Original engine bottom end # to my VIN

Exactly what my master tech Indy said. He just scoped my 3.4 and gave it thumbs up. "It looks exactly like it should with almost 100k miles". I'm getting the original water pump, thermostat, reservoir and rads done this week. I asked him about the chains and guides and he said there's no rush, I'm in spec and there's no signs of chain pad wear. Whew. I change oil every 6 months. he uses 5w40 motul excess something something.😂 Who knows, she might will outlast me.
