Hallo,
my name is Thomas Isariuk and I am new to this forum
So here is my first question. Perhaps somebody with
PIWIS
-access can help me out ...
I have a
Cayman
without the '
Sport Chrono
Plus' package BUT with
PCM
. Now I am wondering if it is possible to activate some of the little nice features of the SCP with the help of
PIWIS
?
I think of the 'day driving light' - (very usefull here in south germany) and 'automatic door locking'-features, which can be programmed by the driver itself if you have SCP. These menus are a part of the so called 'individual memory' ...
You can activate all that features by
PIWIS
, but I don't want to drive always to
Porsche
to have these things changed.
Is there some menu-switch in
PIWIS
, where I can activate this hidden menus in
PCM
?
Thank you for your answers ...

I have seen just about every screen there is on the
PIWIS
and I don't recall seeing any screens with options to let you do that. If the CAN-BUS doesn't see a controller for something then commands get ignored so while you could tell a
PIWIS
to put the car in sport mode, if the controller for it wasn't installed it wouldn't work. Also placing the car in sport mode would be just while hooked to the
PIWIS
, once removed it would go back to normal there is no way to "stick" the car in sport mode permanently and get those features.
Hallo K-Man S,
thank you for your fast response!
I understand, BUT the features like 'day driving light' and the 'automatic door locking' don't need any hardware-box. It is only softcoded and therefore can also be programmed by
PIWIS
. I activated them already. But only the SCP-owners can change the values by themselves ...
I don't know if SCP needs any additional hardware (exept the stopwatch on the dashboard). I think all functions are only softlocked.
But I fear
Porsche
has blocked any activation of features which you didn't pay for ...
Bye,
