Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am hopeless with names. While at Autofarm, someone called Terry (I think) was asking about the chrome trim on his headlamp washers that had disappeared. Here is the page from the parts list. I think I recall that it was a facelift car. The hard drive is there - it is just difficult to access the data sometimes. [ ]

POST 2Original post

Thanks Richard, appreciate your assistance. I had a close look at it today and it appears that the chrome cap should just clip on to the washer jet unit but the detail you have provided indicates that it may be all one part. I will check with OPC Hatfield. Terry

POST 3Original post

Richard - I ordered a part from OPC Hatfield. It is, as I suspected from the diagram you provided, all one part. The chrome cap and the washer jet comes as one unit at £28.75. OPC were very efficient and I received it by post the next day - only one problem - there wasa slight crack in the mounting lug of the chrome cap so it's had to go back! Terry
