Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

OK... I need help... Anyone care to enlighten me as to how to remove the Bose subwoofer??

POST 3Original post

From memory, I've posted a more accurate description elsewhere. Pop out the vent looking thingie on the top Remove the now exposed torx screw Remove the black plastic part held in by the above screw Remove the now exposed larger screw Slide the whole thing toward the rear of the car about an inch and it should be free You will need to disconnect the wires and probably remove the floor mat. Greatly appreciated... I did a search to find prior post but I understand that the total site update is not yet completed...

What Alan said above sounds about right, as I've done it a couple of times also. Also, look closely at the position of the four metal clips after you get it off - and try not to bend them by accident when you put it back. It will lock the unit back in position fairly easily unless the clips get pushed out of position by accident.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
