Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I bought a tiptronic clock spring so that I can run more wires through the wheel when I get to that point.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Continuing with reversible mods. I used a 2.7 ohm resistor in the airbag circuit and no light so far. If you’re concerned about me not having an airbag I’ll try not to fly through the windshield onto you or any of your loved ones. Besides, my ancestors in the Donner Party survived just fine without airbags

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The extra stalk on the column is for audio controls. My next project planned is a double din head unit. Eventually I'd like to put buttons on the steering wheel for that. I bought a tiptronic clock spring so that I can run more wires through the wheel when I get to that point.

POST 3Original post

I'm not a fan of things that explode in my face. Do you have a photo of the resistor installed?

Double Din head unit. I made the cup holder into a phone shelf.

No I don’t. But I had an extra clock spring so I cut the connector off of that soldered the resistor in place of where the airbag would go and put some heat shrink around it. No warning light so far
